He is survived by: his parents, Brian Sosnin and Anna Smith; his adoptive father Bruce Smith; his wife Kisha Smith; his children, Skyler Girdley and Burkley Horak (Teagan Girdley); his grandmothers, Janice Mather, Eloise Smith and Celeste Ward (Robert Jr); his parents-in-law, Tom, Teri Austin, Brad and Nancy Henderson; his siblings, Amanda LaRaye Holmin (Shane) of Backus, Elizabeth Noel Holmin (Dan) of Hackensack, Kevin Girdley (Shanna) of Brainerd, Relichia McSorley, Keyandre Smith of Backus, Phil Smith (Tina) of Florida, Tana LaPaglia (Mark) of Arizona, Tammi Cortez (Kevin) of Georgia, Tara Barnett (JT), Sarah Sosnin and Brennon Sosnin of Louisville, KY; and his siblings-in-law, Jeremy Hawkings (Allana), Kristopher Hawkings, Tommy Austin (Alisha), Travis Austin (Heather), Corey Henderson (Amelia), Tristin Austin (Brianna), Krystal Austin, Tanya Meyer (Jon), Katrina Condon (Ian), Ryan Mohr (Jenny), Bridgette Mohr (Matt) and Rachel Mohr. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel (7348 Excelsior Rd, Baxter, MN 56425). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Eaglebrook Church.
Cody gave the ultimate gift of life through organ donation.
