She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Mattson and Ann Mattson; her son Wesley Erbstoesser; her former husband Carl Erbstoesser of Braham, MN; and her husband James Dawson of Hopkins, MN.

She donated her body to the Research for Life Program located in Arizona.
