He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Malcolm and Lola Malcolm; his former wife Pat; his daughter Jen Hendershott; his siblings, Doug, Curt Malcolm and Marlene Berry; and his brothers-in-law, Ken Berry, Dale Berry and Bill Yunk.

He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Wendy Tracy (Andy) of Marble, MN, Holly Malcolm of Bovey, Amy Griffith (Bob) of Grand Rapids, Scott Malcolm of Bovey and Chad Finckbone (Kara Lokken) of Grand Rapids; his sisters, Nettie Yunk of Grand Rapids and Kathy Berry of Wadena; his grandchildren, Michael (Christina), Kayla (Jordan), Laura (Michael), Hanna, Tia, Joey, Emily, Ethan, Gracelyn, Aidan, Scott, Lakoda, Monte, Cole, Haylee and Chaston; and his great grandchildren, Kyleigh, Jamisyn, Elissia, Timathy and Julian. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
