He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Mikulich and John Mikulich; his wife Beverly A. Troumbly; and his sister Rose Hanson. He is survived by: his sister Florence Struss of Akeley; his children, Joseph of Bovey, John Jr. (Jo Anne) of Bovey, Cathy Ellis (Joe Pollard) of Mahtomedi, Greg of Bovey and Tom of Bovey; his grandchildren, Amy (Mike), Aaron (Rhea), Molly (Tommy), David, Adam, Carina (Guy), Jake, Mindy (Joe), Amber (Sam) and Jenny (Andy); and his parents-in-law, Vernon Troumbly (MaryAnn), Jim Troumbly, Betty Troumbly, Betty Hoey, Jeanette Troumbly and Barb Troumbly. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial are preferred to the charity of donor's choice.
