With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Guy Dean Abernathey of Bovey, Minnesota, born in Vinton, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 11, 2024 at the age of 91. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil G. Abernathey and Hazel M. Abernathey (Sanborn); and his sister Loretta Ferguson. He is survived by: his children, Mark Dean, Scott Kevin Abernathey and Lisa Mari Abernathey; his great grandchildren, Kylie Cagle and Emma Abernathey; his brother Buck Abernathey; his wife Berta Mae; his children, Bethel Fremouw (Jeff), Kent Abernathey (Della) and Clint Abernathey (Maria); and his brother Steve Abernathey. He is also survived by thirty-one grandchildren, sixty-five great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.
