He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Sapa and Victoria Sapa (Pytzek); his daughter Chris Wagner; and his son-in-law Gary Bell. He is survived by: his wife Janit Peterson; his children, Vickie Zabel (Vern) of Blue Earth, Cheryl Bell of Hudson, WI, Deb Sapa of Jordan, MN and Tim Sapa (Christine) of Bayfield, CO.; his son-in-law Bob Wagner of Zumbrota, MN.; and his grandchildren, Maura Humason, Jen Nelson (Brandon Evan), Kevin Zabel (Sarah), Lori Mueller (Brian), Denise Patten (Lukas), Breanna Welke (Brian), Austin Wagner (Amanda), Emily Engebretson (Duane), Jess Rogers (Lucas), Michael Bell (Ashley), Ali Mizell (Tyson) and Caleb Sapa. He is also survived by 35 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
