He was predeceased by: his parents, Col. John J. Sonich and Marjorie P. Sonich; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Thompson, Al Landheer, Dean Pilgrim, Nyle Huston, Joyce Landheer and Janet Zuehlke.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Sonich (Thompson) of Blue Earth, MN; his children, Michele Stewart (Todd) of Elmore, MN, Heidi Sanchez (Juan) of Hayfield, MN and John Sonich (Dianna) of Mankato, MN; and his grandson Alexander Stewart (Lindsey) of Peoria. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Luke's, UHD Hospice or Trinity Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
