He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph'Joe' Hassing and Monica Hassing (Sereda); his great grandchild Jack Andrew Flatness; his siblings, Don (Mary Hassing Paul), Victoria, Alice Stencel (Norbert), Lawrence (Marion), Nicholas, Gordon (Dallas) and Jerome; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Miller and Thomas Thielen.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Mary Rauenhorst; his children, Barbara Ankeny (Jay) of Blue Earth, MN, Debra Matthews (Jeff) of Burnsville, MN, Mark Hassing (Vicki) of Blue Earth, MN, Glenn Hassing of Blue Earth, MN, Paula Schaefer (David) of Blue Earth, MN and Bryan Hassing (Genevieve McJilton) of Deephaven, MN; his grandchildren, Kristin Flatness, Lindsay Matthews, Jennifer Ankeny, Jason Matthews, Jordan Hassing, Jacob Hassing, Malissa Mittelstadt, Allison Matthews, Laura Schaefer, Jared Hassing and Kyle Schaefer; his great grandchildren, Zachary, Charlie, Laila, Beckett and Alex; his friend Terri Burns; his siblings-in-law, Florence Hassing, Millie Miller, Evie Thielen and Ray Rauenhorst (Sharon); and also, Bailee and Bethanee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
