He was predeceased by: his parents, Gotfred Larson and Viola Larson; and his brothers, Clare Larson and Bruce Larson. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Ekstrand of Rush City; his children, Tom Larson (Vicki), Todd Larson (Laura Van Duren) and Susan Larson; his grandchildren, Kaj Larson, Eliot Larson, Travers Tharp and Anna Walter; his great grandchild Hailey Larson; and his nieces and nephews, Gary Larson, Glen Larson (Patti), Elise Hanson (David) and Lee Larson. He is also survived by other loving relatives and loyal friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the House of Prayer Lutheran Church (7625 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55423). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Prior House of Prayer Lutheran Church (7625 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55423). A burial will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:45 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery (7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450).
