It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leroy James Mathies of Bloomington, Minnesota, born in Cold Spring, Minnesota, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Adeline. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his siblings, Joseph, Melvin and Kathy; his children, Joan Fuller (Mark), Rich Mathies (Char), Julie Carlson (Gary) and Jean Mathies (Randy Vickerman); his grandchildren, Anthony Fuller, Jessica Mathies, Leah Kulbeth, Richard Fuller, Angie Leadens, Joshua Mathies, Russell Vickerman and Melissa Mathies; his great grandchildren, Richard Mark, Harper Fuller, Carter Leadens, Bennett Leadens and Zeke Fuller; and his siblings, Earl, Carol Albachten, Tom, Ronnie, Donnie and Vernon.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nativity of Mary Catholic Church (9900 Lyndale Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55420). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Bloomington Chapel (2300 W Old Shakopee Rd, Minneapolis, MN 55431).
