It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Arthur Omdahl of Bloomington, Minnesota, born in Decorah, Iowa, who passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As John Arthur departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved John Arthur. Though John Arthur may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Aage Omdahl and Muriel Omdahl (Bye). He is survived by: his sons, Christopher (Nancy) of Eden Prairie, Timothy (Terri) of Minnetonka and Patrick (Pamela) of Andover; his wife Marcia; and his brother Dick Omdahl (Mary) of Peshtigo. He is also survived by his three nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (1321 North Ave, Northfield, MN 55057). A memorial service was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials preferred to Bethel Lutheran Church, designated to the fund for a new sound system.
