It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of JoAnn Mickelson of Bloomington, Minnesota, who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl W. Sandquist and Henrietta C. Sandquist (Fridley); her husband Gordon M. Mickelson; her son Terry; her grandson Gabriel Schroeder; and her siblings, Donald Sandquist, Janice Bollinger and Marilyn Halverson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jan Schroeder (Cary) of Brandon, SD and Mary Kay Schrank (Greg) of Bloomington, MN; her grandchildren, Miranda Friederich (Zach) of St. Paul, MN, Kara Orobello (Nick) of Tampa, FL, Dana Schroeder of Sioux Falls, SD, Jessica Schrank of Bloomington, MN, Danielle Schrank of Minneapolis, MN and Ryan Schrank of Bloomington, MN; and her great grandchild Mara Friederich.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wilmot Lutheran Church (401 Ordway St, Wilmot, SD 57279). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wilmot Lutheran Church in JoAnn's memory.
