She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Taplin and Amelia Taplin; her husbands, Robert Kaye and Alvin Welk; and her son Michael.

She is survived by: her sons, Stephen (Diane), David (Michele), Christopher (Amy) and Matthew (Dawn); her niece Kathy Smith; her grandchildren, Andrea Kaye, Kayla Kaye, Elizabeth Schmitz, Tristan, Taylor, Emily and Samantha Kaye; and her great grandchild Fiona Schmitz.
