He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Peterson and Rachel Peterson; his nephew David Gomes; and his siblings, Robert, Wilda, Charles and Richard.
He is survived by: his sister Vicki Gomes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
