He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gurtek and Veronica Gurtek; and his siblings, Adeline McCallum, Richard Gurtek, Veronica Gurtek (Toots) and Barbara Tauer.
He is survived by: his wife Cathi; his children, Lisa Ojile (Michael) and Michael Gurtek (Lindsey); his grandchildren, Jacob Ojile, Joshua Ojile, Zachary Ojile, Nicholas Ojile and Presley Gurtek; his great grandchild Bowie Gurtek; and his sisters, Phyllis Norbeck and Virgina McCullough (Bill).
