With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Darlene M. Olson-Anderson of Blaine, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 7, 2024 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Nelson and Alice Nelson; her husbands, Norman Olson and Robert Anderson; her son Boyd Olson; her siblings, Dennis Nelson, James Nelson and Gloria Butzlaff; and her great grandchildren, Beau Olson and Nevaeh Olson.

She is survived by: her children, Daniel N. Olson (Sandra), Juliann K. Wassman (Brian), Trudel E. Vogt (Arden) and Nancy Hagen (Dale Buker); and her brother Roger Nelson (Lucy). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church (9931 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

“I have such fond memories of Darlene. She was my mom’s friend and mother of my friend Julie. I spent my childhood visiting their house regularly. They had a happy house full of music, joy and laughter. I know my mom and dad are welcoming Darlene in heaven. They are probably dancing right now. Linda Sodeman Romine”
