He is survived by: his wife Patricia Mattila (Tillotson) of Blackduck, MN; his children, Miranda Schufman (Tom) of St. Bonifacius, MN and Evan Mattila (Taylor); his stepchildren, Jennifer Welch (Tracy) of Bemidji, MN and Jeff Welch (Lindsey) of Northome, MN; his grandchildren, Eleanor, Annabel, Payton, Kase, Simon and Rylee; and his siblings, Sandy Goettig, Bill Mattila (Bernadette), Robert Mattila, Jon Mattila (Lisa) and Paul Mattila. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
