It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Melstrom of Blackduck, Minnesota, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on April 23, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Shingler and Susie Shingler (Listiak); her husband Melvin Melstrom; her children, Gerald Melstrom and Nancy Stomberg (Melstrom); her siblings, John Shingler, Jr., Mike Shingler, Edward Shingler, Mildred Bergren, Lydia Stanko, Ann Kupcho and Ruth Kroeger; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hermel, Alberta Shingler, Alyce Shingler and Helen Shingler; and her stepgrandson Shawn Lockrem.
She is survived by: her son Ronald Melstrom (Marjorie) of Warroad, MN; her grandchildren, Troy Melstrom (Courtney) of Chicago, IL, Jason Stomberg (Melissa) of Colby, KS, Chera Williams (Josh) of St. Genevieve, MO, Justin Stomberg (Melanie) of St. Genevieve, MO and Blake Stomberg (Megan) of St. Genevieve, MO; her stepgranddaughter Angie Morgan; her great grandchildren, Keaton, Madeleine, Hunter, Ava, Kaden, Makenna, Mason, Braxton, Abbey, Myah, Parker, Boston, Madison and Owen; her sister Dorothy Bowman (George) of Blackduck, MN; and her son-in-law Daryl Stomberg of Haleyville, Alabama. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church of Blackduck, MN.
