She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Murphy and Edith "Mae" Murphy (Goldsworthy); her husband Don Malenius; and her in-laws, Mike Van Skike and Suzi Malenius.
She is survived by: her daughter Kristen Gensler (Marty) of Hibbing; her grandsons, Brent Malenius of Eveleth, Devin and Dayton Gensler of Hibbing; her stepdaughter Josie Olson (Ben) of Duluth; her siblings, Jerry Murphy (Donna) of Gilbert and Carolyn Werkhoven (Gary) of Duluth; and her siblings-in-law, David Malenius of Gold Canyon, AZ, Dean Malenius (Barb Irish) of Fayal, Dan Malenius (Lori) of St. Louis Park and Diane Van Skike of Gold Canyon, AZ..
