He was predeceased by: his parents, Burt McDermid and Adair McDermid (Cuthbertson); and his siblings, Quentin McDermid and Tandy Esala. He is survived by: his wife Lila; his sons, Michael and Steven McDermid; and his brother Bert McDermid. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
