He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilton Steve and Lucille McCarty (Locker); his brothers, Ronald "Bud" McCarty, Marlin "Butch" McCarty and William "Bill" McCarty; and his friends, Oscar and Bessie Breckle.
He is survived by: his spouse Patricia Ann Markman; his children, Stacie Golombiecki (Jeff) of Bigelow, MN and Wade McCarty of Sibley, IA; his siblings, Sherry Johnson of Meeteetse, WY and Dale Dekok of Chicago, IL.; and his close friend Alfreda Sandbeck. He is also survived by six grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
