He is survived by: his parents, LeRoy Kies and Donna Denis (Niederoski); his son Joseph Kies-Munro of St. Paul; his brothers, Steve Kies of Big Lake, David Kies of Anoka and Gary Kies of Big Lake; his half-sister Terri Kies of Rosemont; and his close friend Adalynn Hubbell.
