She was predeceased by: her parents, Clement Hassing and Catherine Hassing; her husband Ewald Petersen; and her sisters, Marie Hanley, Margaret Determan and Carol Kersting.
She is survived by: her children, Ewald Joe Petersen (Shari), Corrine Ralph (Scott), Eric Petersen (Stephanie), Paul Petersen, Amy Brambrink (Kurt) and Rebecca Blahosky (Chad); her grandchildren, Emily Lindenfelser (Jake), Erin Hall (Blake), Charlie Brambrink (Nicole), Michael Brambrink, Ewald Petersen, Claire Petersen and Cecelia Blahosky; her great grandchildren, Max and Rhett Lindenfelser; and her siblings, Agnes Lieser, Jane Hemmesch (Ken) and Edward Hassing (Jo).
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Church of Saint Andrew (566 4th St NW, Elk River, MN 55330). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
