It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Elizabeth Axvig (Big Lake, Minnesota), born in Lester Prairie, Minnesota, who passed away on September 15, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Artmann and Evangeline Artmann (Shovelain); her husband Gene Axvig; her children, Lawrence "Larry" Axvig, Loren Axvig and LuAnn Newberry; her son-in-law Doug Knudson; and her siblings, Florentine, Duane, Lennis "Stoney", MaryAnn and Anna Mae.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Knudson; her son-in-law Joe "Milt" Newberry; her grandchildren, Jason Axvig, Erin Knudson (Jon Alexander), Kasey Knudson, Natalie Stevenson (Austin), Daniel Axvig, Shannon Axvig and Susan Axvig; and her siblings, Daryl Artmann (Pam), Jeannine Erickson (Dan) and Harlan Artmann. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gerry's name are preferred to the Monticello Senior Center.
