He was predeceased by: his father Richard Follmer; and his son Aaron Follmer. He is survived by: his mother JoAnn Follmer; his wife Anne (Harwarth); his children, Austin, Kali (Elliot Cornelius) and Hanna Follmer; his granddaughter Everleigh Follmer; his sister Kim Follmer; his sister-in-law Amy Kvilhaug; his nephews, Caleb and Samuel Kvilhaug; and his father-in-law Robert (Marie Harwarth). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
