He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Schahn and Devona Schahn; his sister Bonnie Schahn; his daughter Linda Schahn; and his parents-in-law, John and Gertrude Hartmann.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley M. Hartmann; his children, Allan Schahn of St. Cloud, Maria May of Browerville, Sandra Gjerstad (Tom) of Osakis and Heidi Schahn of Bertha; his grandchildren, Samantha Leedahl (Adam) of Brooten, John Gjerstad of Moorhead, Miles, Kolten, Tessa, Spencer Gjerstad of Osakis, Travis and Trevor May of Browerville; his brothers, Leo Schahn (Kathy) of Minneapolis, Gary Schahn (Barb) of Rockford and Dennis Schahn (Rosemarie) of Kenyon; his cousin Naomi Walrath; and also Sharon Farniok (Robert) of Delano. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
