He is survived by: his former wife Dora Holmquist; his wife Nelda McIntire; his children, Neil Schlichting (Tammy) of Eagle Bend, Minnesota and Eve Folkestad (Craig) of Wadena, Minnesota; and his grandchildren, Corynn Cooper (Kermit), Dylan Folkestad (Misty), Alexis Karl (Scott), Brady Folkestad (Kayla), Jordan Folkestad (Beth), Macy Folkestad, Cooper Folkestad, Cameron Folkestad, Dustin Schlichting (Becky) and Megan Williamson (James).
