He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Marguerite Laycock (Simonson) and George Laycock; and his siblings, Roger Laycock, Elvera Blake and Donna Ostberg.
He is survived by: his wife Ione Laycock of Benson, MN; his children, Becky Holland (Don) of New London, MN, Mike Laycock (Diane) of Brandon, SD and LeAnn Roth (Ron) of Mapleton, ND; his grandsons, Matthew Holland (Ellen), Benjamin Holland, Philip Holland (Stephanie), Andrew Laycock (Brooke), Luke Laycock (Kayla), Noah Laycock (Amber Thompson), Brady Dokkebakken (Mackenzie), Nathan Dokkebakken (Ashley Tesch) and Samuel Ross; and his great grandchildren, Owen Holland, Brynn Holland, Chase Laycock, Emma Laycock, Cameron Dokkebakken, Natalie Dokkebakken and Reed Gonzalez. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church (800 10th St S, Benson, MN 56215). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
He committed many years to serving on the Project Turnabout Board, Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation, Swift County Hospital Board, Scofield Place, and others.
