She was predeceased by: her grandson-in-law Matt Beshear; her brother Dennis Tolzien; and her siblings-in-law, Lawrence Hess, Ronald Sears, Jerry Hess, Doris Hess and Donna Hess.
She is survived by: her husband Patrick R. Hess of Benson; her daughters, Gisele Freitag (Michael) of Elizabeth, MN, Peggy McKeown (Gerald) of Callaway, MN and Lisa Yue (Timothy) of Shakopee, MN; her grandchildren, Sarah Poepping (Greg), Jacob Freitag (Ryan McGuire), Leah Maertens (Dustin), Rebekah Donner (Tom), Anita Thorson (Dan), Samantha Beshear, Joshua Yue (Maren) and Meredith Elsing (Paul); her great grandchildren, Jackson, Jadah, Jaron Poepping, Jaden, Clara, Emma Thorson, Luke, Michael, Patrick, Donner, Violet, Gus, Scarlet Maertens and Thomas Elsing; her sister Phyllis Oletzke (James) of Blaine, MN; and her sister-in-law Gloria Tolzien of Minneapolis, MN..
