He was predeceased by: his parents, Lambert O. Strand and Helen A. Strand (Hanson); his wife Elaine Strand; his daughter Marie Vandiver; his brother Duane Strand; his great grandchild Vincent Warwick; and his stepson Robert Gardner.
He is survived by: his children, David Strand (Mary Durgin) of Sauk Rapids, MN and Margaret Martin of Andover, MN; and his stepsons, Philip Gardner (Lori) of Sauk Rapids, MN, Kevin Gardner of St. Cloud, MN and Craig Gardner of Forest Lake, MN. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
