He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leonard Rode and Margaret Rode (Cohrs); his former wife Marlene Dokken; his wife Judy Benson; his daughters, Andrea Samson (David) of West Fargo, Katina Rued (Ryan) of West Fargo and Elizabeth Danner (Brett) of Maple Grove; his grandchildren, Tyler, Callie Rued, Emaliah and Brodey Danner; his aunt Margaret Robertson; his sisters, Janice Bentson and Sharoyl Bean (Fred); his siblings-in-law, Chuck Bentson, Donna Dokken and Nancy Dokken; his stepchildren, Greg Benson (Mary) of Gilbert, Becky Koepke (Jeff) of Granite Falls and Laura Beyer (Brian) of Granite Falls; his sister Joy Halvorson (Dean); his siblings-in-law, Molly Ashburn, Pat Ashburn, Erling Dokken, Al Dokken, Chuck Ost, Jerry Ashburn and Bud Ashburn; his niece Stephanie Ost; his nephew Peter Dokken; and also, Noel and Agnes Dokken. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
