He was predeceased by: his mother Linda French (French). He is survived by: his father Carl Adams; his stepson Dennis Lang, Jr.; his sister Brenda Adams; his grandchildren, Jackson DeGroat and Maddison DeGroat; his girlfriend Jeannie Wittner; his children, Michael R. Marcell, Shawn Bryan, Linda French-Kegg, Ganiva French, Shae French (Paul), Jaycee Sargent (Patrick), Evelyn Goodwin (Tyler) and Kristi Sargent; his siblings, Bobby Creighton, John Murray, Jeremy Moran, Jerod Moran, Marvin French, Jr., Bob French, Valerie Lynch, Tina Adams, Ann Adams, Geezis French, Marly French, Sonja Budde and Sylvia Budde; and his grandchildren, Michael Artley, Wyatt Artley, Luca Jones, Davian Defoe, Douglas Artley, Kyomi Defoe, Dehana Jones and Zela Defoe. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
