He was predeceased by: his parents, Alanzo Swingen and Jane Swingen (Pellerin); his wife Norma Locklin (Pudgie); his brother Lowell Swingen; and his son Lonnie Swingen.
He is survived by: his children, Erin Dodd (Cliff) of Scottsdale, AZ, Dan Swingen (Heidi), Anthony Swingen and Bemidji; his grandchildren, Ryan Dunphy, Haley Dunphy, Phoenix, Cole Miles, Nicholas Swingen (Jess), Michael and Brooke Kossan Grand (Tylden); and his great grandchildren, Madalynn Reyes, Lilyan Reyes, Phoenix, Elizabeth Swingen, Collette Kossan, Riese Kossan and Audrey Kossan.
