It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tomy Dennis Hegland of Bemidji, Minnesota, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Hegland and Mary Hegland (Zaretsky); and his siblings, Orville Hegland and Noreen Kohut. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hegland (Hoppes); his daughters, Nikki Nordmeier (David) of Elk River and Jennifer Cole of Mounds View; his son-in-law Jeremy Cole of Fridley, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Anna, Chet Nordmeier, Trenton and Kaiser Cole; his sister Marlene Moore of Bemidji; and his cousin Gwen Young. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers remembrances made to the Grace Lake Watershed Association or the Bemidji Eagles Club.
