He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Nelson and Maybell Nelson; his parents-in-law, Woodrow and June Heth; and his grandson Rio Good.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Nelson; his children, Stacy Scott (Jim) of Hurricane, Naomi King (Jeff) of Prosper, Texas and Ryan Nelson (Patrice) of Edina, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Jared Nelson, Caitlin Good, Andrew Nelson, Laura Nelson, Nicolas King and Cade King; his great grandchildren, Deegan Nelson and Ataline King; and his siblings, Marilyn Nelson and Richard Nelson (Kathy).
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (123 29th St NE, Bemidji, MN 56601).
He was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation for 39 years, Ducks Unlimited, and lifetime member of B.P.O.E.
