He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Arel and Eva Arel; and his sisters, Madonna Arel, Jan Dols (Arel) and Karen Arel.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Drellack; his children, Heather Dixon (Jim) and Bradley Arel (Monica); his grandchildren, Dominic, Mariah Dixon, Matthew, Abigail, Joshua, Elizabeth and John Arel; his siblings, Kathy Piche (Greg), Annette Strack (Keith), Rosie Tucker (Jack) and Gerald Arel (Carol); and his brother-in-law Dick Dols. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be sent to The Lumberjack Field Improvement Project Fund or any Lumberjack Athletics.
