He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Henkel and Christine Henkel; his brothers, Gerard and Clyde; his great grandchild Ava; and his pet Scooter.
He is survived by: his wife Karen McGillivray (DeWitt); his siblings, Paul, Sharon, Carl, Floyd, Beverly, Colleen and Drucella; his children, Todd McGillivray (Wanda) of Biwabik, MN, Mark McGillivray (Sherri) of Avon, MN, Melissa Scheving (Joel) of Greer and Carissa Golden (John) of Bemidji; and his grandchildren, Mark, Alyssa, Nick, Brooklyn, Hailey, Seth, Hope, Laura, Amanda, Nate and Blake. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
