She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyrus Metzger and Glennys Metzger (Grabill); and her brothers, Rick and Ken Metzger. She is survived by: her husband Duane Schaefer of Bemidji; and her sons, Asa Schaefer (Erica) of Decatur, IL, Nathanael Schaefer (Courtney) of Maple Grove, MN and Matthew Schaefer (Heidi) of Ruthton, MN. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
