He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Cartier and Marguerite Cartier; his parents-in-law, Raymond and Lavina Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Melvin Schaupp, Wendell and Amy Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Zelda; his son Jason Cartier (Cura); his grandson Elijah; his sister Peggy Schaupp; and his brother-in-law Van Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
