He is survived by: his wife Patricia Barthorpe of Bemidji; and his children, Mary Monson (Curt) of Bemidji, Aaron Barthorpe (Tia) of Cass Lake and Mark Barthorpe (Trish) of Solway. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Sanford Bemidji Hospice of Bemidji.
