He was predeceased by: his parents, George Amundson and Olina Amundson (Rongstad); his siblings, Eugene, Helen and Marlene; and his great grandchild Avery.
He is survived by: his wife Clarice Kirkvold; his children, Dan (Laura), David (Jeannie), Mike (Pam) and Michelle; and his sister Janet Amundson. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (900 Bemidji Ave N, Bemidji, MN 56601). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at the Greenwood Cemetery.
