With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel John Ryan of Bemidji, Minnesota, who passed away on November 19, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Loraine Ryan (Gillespie); his nephew Brenndan Thomas Ryan; his uncle Kye; his stepson Peter Kowal (Kelly); his friend Jimmy Macken; and his father Cyril Ryan (Pete).
He is survived by: his wife DeNae Schimke; his daughters, Shannon Young (Dan) and Courtney Paulseth (Tracy); his stepdaughter Christie Tanner; his siblings, Patrick Ryan (Martha), Margaret Ann Ryan Reiter (Steve) and Tom Ryan (MaryAnn); his mother-in-law Donna Schimke; his sisters-in-law, Dodi Wiesz (Chuck) and Darcy Hatlestad (Gerald); his grandchildren, Hannah Young and Erin Young; his stepgrandchildren, Haley Paulseth and Sydney Felix; and his nieces and nephews, Brian Strapp, Katie Ryan, Daniel Ryan (Bryana), Colleen Browne (Matt), Mike Ryan, Brenton Wiesz (Courtney), Dylan Wiesz, Brittni Hatlestad, Jasmyn Hatlestad and Tucker.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Northern Peace Funeral Home (114 Tianna Dr, Walker, MN 56484). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
