He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Prouty and Gladys Prouty (Sletten); his brothers, Dale and Kenneth Prouty; and his brother-in-law Lester Harmon.
He is survived by: his wife Sun Rye Prouty; his children, Pam Sandoval (Chris) of Red Oak, TX, Kenny Prouty (Kate) of Cheyenne, WY, Charlie (Jeehee), Hyera Ann (Anthony) of Tujunga, CA and Nuri (Woojae); and his sisters, Donna Harmon of Bemidji, MN, Diane (Jim) and Debbie Bakken (Mike). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
