He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Sr. Nelson and Juliette Nelson (Pederson); his in-laws, Frank and Alsace Bjorndahl; his sisters, Jackie Powel and Mona Nelson; his brothers-in-law, Cleve Powel, Brad Helgeson and Ken Jones; and his grandson Kaden Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Donna J. Bjorndahl of Belview; his children, Troy Nelson (Angel) of Belview, James Nelson of Cosmos and Jennifer Zeug (Mike) of Walnut Grove; his grandchildren, McGraw (Michaela), McKenna (Colton), Mataya, Mesa, Madigan, Mariah (Robert), Gage, Evan, Brynlee, Sawyer, Conner, Nellie, Juliette and Stella (Sawyer Bisel); his sisters, Sandy Curran (J. W.) and Candy Gass (Lonnie); and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Jones, Janet Doody (Mike), Bonnie Oien (Steve), Kerry Kramer (Larry) and Jill Helgeson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
