He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Madsen and Lillie Madsen (Jessen); his wife Ginny Madsen; his grandson Scott Usher; and his sister Delores Andersen.

He is survived by: his children, Andrea Madsen of Elk River, MN and Michael Madsen of Hutchinson, MN; his grandson Eric Usher; and his great grandchild Riley Berndt. He is also survived by Many other relatives and friends.
