He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Laabs and Alvina Laabs (Holste); his wife Leona Krenz; his son Brian; and his siblings, Arvilla (Clarence Noll), Mabel (Warren Bessel), Delores (Orville Ruehling), Bernice (Joe Meger), Gerhard Laabs and Willard (Joyce Laabs).
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra (Jon Luedloff), Lori Jeurissen (John Jagoe) of Shakopee and Lisa (Tim Murphy); his grandchildren, Melissa (Brandon Meuleners), Bradley (Megan Jeurissen), Nicholas (Bri Jeurissen), Tony Murphy and Katie Murphy; his great grandchildren, Fynnley Murphy, Tinsley Murphy and Ella Jeurissen; and his sister-in-law Alverna Laabs. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
