He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Ernst and Elsie Ernst (Ruehling); his daughter Mary; and his siblings-in-law, Betty McCurdy, Eldon Reinke and Don Busta.
He is survived by: his son Paul (Vicki) of Lago Vista, TX; his wife Shirley Busta; his son David Ernst (Sharon) of Shakopee; his grandchildren, Jennifer Pearson (Aaron), Joshua, Chad and Tony (Cruz); his sister Shirley Reinke; his brother-in-law Mel (Karen Busta); his great grandchildren, Trenton Ernst and Xander Pearson; his grandson Jason Ernst; and also Patrick Ernst (Kate).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
