He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustave A. Hamner and Lillie M. Hamner (Lundberg); his wife Alice Hamner (Sjolander); his stepfather Peter A. Peterson; and his sister Vivian L. Peterson.

He is survived by: his children, Dale Hamner (Carol) of Princeton, Cheryl Hamner of Becker and Gary Hamner of Becker.
