She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Benson and Margaret Benson (Mudrock); and her brother Andy Benson. She is survived by: her husband John Barr of Becker; her children, Craig Sherwood (Sarah) of Sauk Rapids and Tammy Leonard (Patrick) of Pompano Beach, FL; her sisters, Carla Brademan of Coon Rapids, Mary Ellen Erickson of Crystal and Karen Benson of Robbinsdale; her grandchildren, Henry, Lydia, Erza, Zachary and Samantha; and her great grandchildren, Edward III and Elijah.
