With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Carl Swanson of Bayport, Minnesota, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on December 10, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Swanson and Alice Swanson; his sister Jean Shaller; his in-laws, Ed and Elaine Simonet; his brothers-in-law, Ed Simonet and Joe Simonet; and his granddaughter Wren Swanson.
He is survived by: his wife Denise; his children, Danny Swanson (Leah) of Omaha, NE, Maggie Baran (Kyle) of Stillwater, MN and Michael Swanson (Samantha) of Duluth, MN; his grandchildren, Remi, Whitman Swanson, Briggs, Charlie Baran and Gino Swanson; and his in-laws, Anne Simonet, Marc, Mary Washburn, Kate, Mark Runde, Jim, Challene Simonet, Roy and Margaret Anderson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
